APEX Rank
APEX is Starvel's premium rank. It gives you meaningful advantages across every major system in the game — more shards, faster cooldowns, extra market slots, offline protection, and more. It's designed to save you time and accelerate your progression without breaking the game for everyone else.
What You Get
Daily Rewards — 300 Shards Every Day
Normal players receive a mix of keys, scrolls, and small shard amounts from the 7-day daily reward cycle. APEX players get a flat 300 shards every single day, no matter which day of the cycle you're on.
That adds up to 2,100 shards per week compared to roughly 110 shards per week on the free tier. This is the single biggest shard advantage APEX provides.
Claim your daily reward with /daily or /rewards. It also pops up automatically when you log in.
Shard Generation Boost — +5%
Your dungeon passively generates shards while you're online, based on your heart count. APEX gives you a permanent +5% bonus on top of your base generation rate.
This stacks with your prestige bonus (+0.25% per prestige point), so the more you play across seasons, the bigger this advantage becomes.
Auction House — Double Listings
Normal players can have up to 5 active listings on the Auction House at a time. APEX doubles that to 10 active listings.
This means you can sell more items simultaneously without waiting for existing listings to sell or expire.
Auction House — Market Announcements
When you list an item on the Auction House as an APEX player, a server-wide announcement is broadcast to all online players. Non-APEX listings are not announced.
This gives your items much more visibility and helps them sell faster since every player online sees the listing.
Buy Orders — Double Slots
Normal players can have up to 5 active buy orders on the Auction House. APEX increases this to 10 active buy orders, letting you request more items from other players at once.
Expeditions — Shorter Cooldown
Expeditions have a 24-hour cooldown for normal players. APEX reduces this to 20 hours.
This means you can run expeditions more frequently, getting more gold, shards, gems, and upgrade cores over time. Over the course of a week, APEX players can fit in an extra expedition or two compared to normal players.
Raids — Faster Recovery
The global raid cooldown (the wait time between any two raids you start) is 5 minutes for normal players. APEX cuts this to 2 minutes.
This lets you raid more aggressively, steal hearts faster, and climb the seasonal leaderboard more efficiently. The per-target cooldown (5 minutes per specific player) stays the same for everyone.
Offline Protection — 6 Hours Daily
This is one of APEX's most valuable perks. Normally, your golem loses 1 heart every 3 hours you're offline, and raiders can attack your dungeon at any time.
APEX gives you 6 hours of daily offline protection. During those protected hours:
Your heart decay is completely paused — no heart loss from being offline
Your golem stays at full power if someone raids you
The 6-hour timer resets at midnight UTC each day (same time as daily quests and daily rewards). You can see your remaining protection time in the Dungeon Management GUI (/dg upgrade) on both the APEX Boosts item and the Dungeon Master item.
This means if you log off for the night, your first 6 hours are fully protected. You won't wake up to a weakened golem or stolen hearts from overnight raids.

What APEX Does Not Change
APEX does not give you free items, special gear, exclusive enchantments, or access to areas other players can't reach. You still earn everything through gameplay. The advantages are about efficiency and time savings:
Expansion costs are the same for everyone
Raid mechanics work the same (1 heart per win, same arena, same golem formula)
Rift and trial difficulty is identical
Sell prices at /shop are the same
Season leaderboard ranking is based on hearts stolen, not rank
Seasonal Behavior
APEX persists across seasons. It is never wiped. If you have APEX at the end of a season, you still have it at the start of the next one.
